In early October, our "canamzone08.com" domain will expire. Not to worry, you'll still be able to reach this site through our regular chapter web site at sdc-nw.org. On all of our pages, you can click most pictures to see a larger version. Then you can right-click and "Save Picture As..." if you want a copy of one. Pictures, articles, stories, and errata reports are requested. Full credit will be given. Please send your contributions to skerslake [at-sign] q.com. So much happened that weekend that no single person could have seen it all. If you don't have email, paper mail is welcome, too. Send your material to Susan Kerslake, 14301 NE 73rd Street, Vancouver, WA 98682-5011. Thank you! |

Here is a nice letter we received on July 17: "Hello Jerry "I wanted to write and thank you and all the members of the Northwest chapter for the fine job you all did in presenting the Pacific CanAm Zone meet in Oregon City. Bobbie Sue and I enjoyed the camaraderie of the hospitality room- Phil and Alexis Gaffney did a great job keeping the hordes fed and watered. I could see that Tom Hart was kept busy at the registration desk, so we didn't bother him. We love the shirts Pat Bernhardt made for us, and Sue Kerslake's design is truly awesome. "The car show was a wonderful opportunity to see the full spectrum of Studebakers. I know Chuck Tubens and his crew had some hard decisions to make in choosing the winners. I noticed Art Unger snapping a lot of pictures- hope to see some in Turning Wheels soon. Unfortunately, we were unable to stick around for the banquet as I had an assignment in Prague that could not wait. Wish we could have seen the awards presentation, but it was probably for the better anyway, as people start asking me too many questions if I sit still too long. "Again, a great job done and many thanks. "With warmest personal regards, I remain sincerely yours, "Pete Skimmel" |
